She's forbidden fruit, but this filthy-mouthed bodyguard will make this defiant woman his. Even if he has to turn her over his knee to do it.
Max
I protect royals – I don't screw them.
I definitely don't screw sassy little brats like Princess Alexandra – not even if she's the hottest mess I've ever seen, a whirlwind of public scandal and bad behavior.
She's smart-mouthed, argumentative, and doesn't do a thing I say. And the idea of throwing her over my shoulder like a caveman makes my blood run hot.
She's the ultimate in forbidden – bodyguards don't touch princesses. I could lose everything.
But this is one princess I'll bring to her knees.
Alexandra
My bodyguard is a royal pain in the a**.
He's arrogant, gruff, and the most infuriating man I've ever met.
I don't let anyone tell me what to do. But the way Max orders me around makes my knees go weak, and the dirty promises he breathes in my ear make me wet.
Princesses don't hook up with their bodyguards – it's the ultimate transgression.
And they definitely don't fall in love.
Her Bodyguard edition by Sabrina Paige Contemporary Romance eBooks
Cue the rebellious princess and the dominating bodyguard. With that said it was a very enjoyable read. Alex is the typical party girl princess who only seems to care about her next drink and party, she is used to no one being able to handle her. Max is the ex soldier who is doing a favor for a friend and helping his family, he never backs away from a challenge. They have instant chemistry and some awesome dialogue. Don't even get me started on the sex * cue the fan* lol. My only real complaint is that sometimes the story felt like pieces were missing, but that is because it runs the same time as Prince Albert. I will definitely be reading more from this author.Product details

Her Bodyguard edition by Sabrina Paige Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
Her Bodyguard by Sabrina Paige was the first book I had read by the author and it was a spin off from her work, Prince Albert.
Max Donnelly was an American that met the Crown Prince of Protrovia, Prince Albert, while serving together in Afghanistan. After their service ended, Prince Albert convinced Max to come to Protrovia as the Bodyguard to his difficult and feisty sister, Alexandra.
Princess Alexandra, the Crown Princess of Protrovia, was a handful always escaping her security detail and being the life of the party. She was known as being wild, crazy and irresponsible.
Her Bodyguard was written from a dual POV. It was fun, snarky and eventful. The sparks flew from the onset creating tension and dislike which drove their interactions. In the end, it was a journey of an entitled, bratty, socialite growing into her own and revealing the multi-faceted layers of the true Princess versus who she portrayed to the world.
Overall it was entertaining and enjoyable. It was a little slow getting off the ground for me and there were a few more editing errors than I like, so I rated it a 3.5, which rounds up to a 4 on this rating site. Otherwise, a fun read.
It was written alongside the first book, Prince Albert. I haven’t read it yet, but the teasers included within Max and Alexandra’s story promise a humorous and entertaining adventure; one that I plan to conquer next.
This was an excellent book with a LOT of steamy scenes and a surprisingly sweet, loyal alpha. I shared Max's frustration with Princess Alexandra's lifestyle choices but I loved his determination to carry out his duties despite the distractions she throws his way. The author does a great job of allowing us to experience this royal romance from both character's perspectives and the way their less than traditional romance develops is both funny and tender.
The writing is so much better than the first story in this series, Prince Albert...but still follows the same plot line as Prince Albert. The first 40 chapters are nothing more than spoiled, stubborn, wild and rebellious, 21 y/o party girl Princess Alexandra and her bodyguard, Max Donnelley locking horns while they dance around their mutual attraction. She tries to get away...he keeps her in line. She throws a fit. He laughs, whispers in her ear and keeps her in line. She tries to sneak off to buy drugs. He catches her, rubs up against her and keeps her in line. She get's turned on, feigning disgust. On and on it goes. 40 chapters of it. They're both stubborn and strong willed and each of them try to strong arm the other while they fall for each other. That's it. Done. On it goes...a battle of wills with a few sexual fantasies of each other. I skipped over the sex scenes...they were all the same. Lots of teasing, moans, groans and pooling of fluids. The plot is predictable and weak; the push/pull, chase/run became boring as the two protagonists fight off their attraction by being obnoxious to each other; there's no drama until chapter 41...only then do things pick up but within a few paragraphs, are quickly resolved. Character details are so weak that I never got a solid visual of what anybody looks like, therefore I never connected with either of them; although I liked Alexandra's strong personality. We're never told how old Max is....no idea. The dialogue is good (not as immature or juvenile as Prince Albert...lots of dirty sex talk that seems thrown in for good measure and becomes so silly, mundane and boring. Max discovers she kinda likes a little BDSM...a little roughhousing but has no idea what's safe, etc. Then suddenly he does! Suddenly he's got the toys and all the rest, and he knows what to do. (SMH) Anyway, It's the same plot as Prince Albert, different players.
OMG! I just "thought" I loved Prince Albert's book but that boy has nothing compared to his naughty sister Alex and her HOT bodyguard Max! What an awesome, funny, witty and oh-so-steamy new book from Sabrina Paige (one of my one-click guilty pleasures!) that will have you shaking your head and wishing you could spank that bratty woman...or at least get spanked by her tough-on-the-exterior but mushy inside bodyguard.
I loved how this story was happening during the same time frame that we experienced Albie falling for his soon-to-be stepsister...and that we were able to get a glimpse of the struggles and dynamics of being the black sheep of a fictional royal family. If you have read any of the other many very entertaining and utterly steamy romances from this author, you will have to grab this one. You do not have to have read the first book in this series but it really helps and you really should to get all the history...and lucky readers get Prince Albert included in this kindle version for free!!
